This item, which is among the furnishings of a cremation grave, was discovered by chance during earthworks in 1871. It shows the exceptional ability of the Celts. This band is made of open-worked gold leaf with a décor of lotus flowers and stylised palm leaves. The golden band adorned a drinking horn and attests to the affluence of the elite on the one hand, while demonstrating the existence of trading relationships with the Greek and Etruscan world on the other.
